CIC/SDC Webinar – Post Secondary Employment Outcomes (PSEO) Data Products

The State Data Center and Census Information Center networks co-hosted this webinar on November 21, 2024 to share give an overview of what the Census Bureau’s Post Secondary Employment Outcomes (PSEO) data includes and some examples of how to use it.

Speakers:

Andrew Foote, Lead Economist at the Census Bureau’s Longitudinal Employer Dynamics (LEHD) Research, presented first with an overview of what the PSEO dataset is, its geographic coverage, how to access the PSEO data, and how the Census Bureau creates the data. Jason Pontius, Associate Chief Academic Officer at the Iowa Board of Regents, gave a presentation about how Iowa got involved in the PSEO, and how the Iowa BOR use the PSEO to better understand the outcomes of graduates from the state. The Iowa BOR has an interactive dashboard using PSEO data that Jason shared, and you can find a PDF of his slides here.
